Terms of Service

The short version

• Card Tab helps you keep track of the cards you buy and sell. Your entries are yours.
• Free has limits, like 20 new entries a month. Premium removes them and is billed monthly. Cancel any time.
• Card Tab does the math on what you enter. It isn't financial or tax advice, so double-check anything important.
• Don't misuse the service or try to break it.
• You can delete your account whenever you like.

These terms are an agreement between you and Card Tab ("Card Tab," "we," "us") for using cardtab.app and the Card Tab app at app.cardtab.app (together, "Card Tab"). By using Card Tab, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Card Tab. Questions? Email hello@cardtab.app.

Your account

You sign in with your email address or with Google. Keep access to that email account secure, since anyone who can open your sign-in emails can sign in as you. Use your own email, and use one account per person. You need to be at least 13 to use Card Tab, and at least 18 (or have a parent's permission) to buy Premium.

Free and Premium

Free lets you use Card Tab with limits, such as 20 new entries a month, a shorter date range on Card Board, and fewer Card Stories options. We may change what Free includes, and we'll give notice before taking away something you rely on.

Premium is a monthly subscription. It renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel any time. When you cancel, Premium stays on until the end of the period you've paid for. If we change Premium's price, we'll tell you before it applies to you. Founding member pricing stays the same for as long as your subscription continues without a break. Refunds follow the law where you live and the rules of the store or payment provider you paid through.

Your entries and your data

The entries, notes and settings you put into Card Tab belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can run Card Tab for you, for example to show your totals, make your Card Board and Card Stories, and keep your account working. You can export your entries any time. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

The numbers are for your records

Card Tab adds up what you enter: prices, fees, shipping and so on. Totals are only as accurate as the entries behind them. Card Tab isn't financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and card values and platform fees change. Check anything important, like numbers for your taxes, against your own records.

Card names and images

Card names, artwork and game logos belong to their owners, such as The Pokémon Company and Bandai. Card Tab isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them. Card information and images are shown only to help you identify your cards.

Using Card Tab fairly

Please don't:

• break the law or use Card Tab to harm anyone
• try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours
• overload, scrape, copy, reverse engineer or interfere with Card Tab or its card search
• resell Card Tab or its card data

If someone misuses Card Tab, we may limit or close their account.

What you share

When you share a Card Story, a Card Board image or anything else from Card Tab, you decide who sees it. You're responsible for what you share.

Changes and availability

We're always improving Card Tab, so features may change, be added or be removed. We work to keep it running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes.

Ending your account

You can delete your account any time in the app (Edit profile, then Delete account). If you have Premium, cancel it too. If you subscribed through Apple, cancel in your device's settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut Card Tab down, we'll give notice so you can export your entries.

Disclaimers and limits

Card Tab is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we don't make promises beyond those in these terms, and we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or a missed sale. If we're responsible for a loss, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us for Card Tab in the 12 months before the problem. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If you live elsewhere, you keep any rights your local law gives you.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know by email or in the app before they take effect.
